About Us
Clarity Requires Transparency First.
Why THEROIDESK exists, how we score products, and exactly how we make money.
Mission
We built the comparison we wished existed.
Most financial content online is written to sell one product. THEROIDESK exists to do the opposite: research a category thoroughly, score every option against the same published standard, and only then introduce affiliate partnerships — after the rating is already set. Readers researching wealth management, investing, insurance, or retirement decisions deserve a side-by-side view, not a single funnel.
Editorial Standards
How we evaluate every product
Every review follows the same process:
- We research the provider's current, publicly available terms, fee schedules, and disclosures — not older marketing material.
- We score the provider against a published, category-specific rubric (for example: fee transparency, fiduciary status, and minimums for wealth management; carrier financial strength and policy flexibility for insurance).
- We compare the provider against at least two direct competitors in the same category.
- Only after the rating is finalized do we evaluate whether an affiliate partnership with that provider makes sense.
- If a provider's terms change materially, we re-review and update the published rating.
Transparency
How we make money
THEROIDESK is free to readers. We earn revenue when readers click through to a partner and complete an action — like requesting a quote or applying for a product — through affiliate links marked with an Advertiser Disclosure. We do not accept payment in exchange for a specific rating, and a partner's advertising spend does not influence our published score.
